3D Texture Generator

Updated October 9, 2026

Overview / Description

3D Texture Generator is an AI 3D modeling tool that retextures GLB models from a text prompt or reference image for independent game developers and 3D asset creators. You upload a UV-mapped model or a rigged character, describe the look you want, and it returns a fully textured GLB along with the individual PBR maps that modern engines expect: Base Color, Normal, Roughness, and Metallic. An interactive in-browser 3D preview lets you inspect the result before downloading, and rigs and animation clips are preserved so you can retexture an animated character without rebuilding it. Models up to 50MB with usable UVs are supported, and three quality settings (Standard, Detailed, and Extreme) let you trade credits for fidelity. For teams in our directory who need multiple material variants of the same asset, this is a faster path than hand-painting each one. The credit model is pay-as-you-go rather than a subscription, credits do not expire, and failed tasks are refunded automatically, which lowers the risk of experimenting with prompts. It is aimed at indie studios and solo creators exploring visual directions rather than at large pipelines with existing texturing teams.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Exports separate Base Color, Normal, Roughness, and Metallic PBR maps, not just a baked texture
  • Preserves character rigs and animation clips when retexturing
  • Interactive in-browser 3D preview before you spend credits on a download
  • Accepts both text prompts and reference images to guide the texture
  • Pay-as-you-go credits that never expire, with auto-refund on failed tasks

Cons

  • Only accepts GLB models with usable UVs, capped at 50MB
  • Credit-based quality tiers mean higher-fidelity results cost noticeably more per asset
  • No subscription or team plan shown, so budgeting at volume is harder to predict
  • Aimed at indie-scale work rather than large production texturing pipelines
