BestAIForOverview / Description
AI Smash is an AI companion chat tool that lets you talk with a conversational character online, built on a decentralized, self-hosted LLM platform from MuxAI. The landing page redirects to the live chat at hana.ai.mux8.com, where the default companion is named Hana (also styled Yana). The product is framed around open-ended conversation "for all things sensible or uncanny," so the primary use case is casual, persona-based chat rather than task automation or productivity. Its distinguishing claim is the infrastructure: the platform is described as decentralized and self-hosted, which positions it against mainstream companion apps that run entirely on a vendor's servers. If you are comparing the best AI for companion chat and care about who hosts the model, that self-hosted angle is the main differentiator here. On BestAIFor we note the public homepage is thin on detail, so specifics on model choice, memory, and moderation are not documented on the page itself; treat feature claims beyond conversation and self-hosting as unverified.
