APIFold reads an OpenAPI or Swagger specification and instantly generates a working MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, eliminating the boilerplate that normally sits between an AI coding assistant and a REST API. Point it at any spec, run one command, and Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot can start making authenticated HTTP calls in seconds. Security is handled out of the box: OAuth 2.0 with PKCE, automatic token refresh, and AES-256-GCM credential encryption. A growing pre-built registry covers Stripe, GitHub, Slack, Notion, HubSpot, Twilio, and OpenAI so common integrations need no spec file at all. Both SSE and Streamable HTTP transports are supported. The project is open source — AGPL-3.0 for the full tool, MIT for the core transformer published on npm.
