BlackTurtle is a technology intelligence tool for R&D teams, IP researchers, and product strategists who need to know whether a solution already exists before building it. You describe a problem in plain language; the engine searches patents, academic papers, and R&D outputs across domains — including adjacent industries where the same problem may have been solved years ago. The core insight is that relevant prior art often lives outside your field: a logistics problem might be answered by a medical device patent; a materials challenge might surface in aerospace R&D. At launch, BlackTurtle's standout dataset is 3 million Korean patents surfaced and searchable in English — a corpus almost entirely invisible to Western patent tools like Google Patents or Espacenet. Practical use cases include pre-filing patent searches, competitive landscaping, technology scouting, and avoiding costly R&D duplication. The interface accepts natural-language queries rather than Boolean patent syntax, lowering the barrier for engineers and product teams who aren't patent attorneys.
