Buddye

Buddye is an AI companion app where adults (18+) chat with AI characters, and with real people, and build ongoing relationships that carry over between conversations. Its tagline is "AI characters who remember you. Built around you," and memory is the core mechanic: characters retain details about your life and bring them up in later chats. Relationships advance through visible bond milestones labelled Just Met, Warming Up, Close, and Devoted, so progress is something you can see rather than guess at. Characters can send photos and videos, including selfies, day glimpses, and custom-generated images, and "Scenes" place you in shared settings like a dinner date or a rainy day in. You can design your own AI characters or create real profiles you manage yourself, and the platform offers 31 roles ranging from a romantic companion to a fitness coach. Characters also behave socially, posting, interacting with each other, and messaging you first when you go quiet, and the app supports English and Hinglish. For people browsing AI companion and AI dating apps on BestAIFor, Buddye's draw is persistent memory and visible relationship progression. It is currently free with no credit card required.
