Cakie

Cakie is an AI developer tool for macOS that records a screen video and turns it into context an AI coding agent can actually follow. Instead of typing a long written description of a bug or a UI change, you record the screen with voice narration and Cakie adds a transcript plus screenshot highlights, then hands your AI agent a prompt it can read along with. The core job is closing the gap between how a human explains something out loud and what a text-based AI assistant can parse: you show the problem on screen, point or draw to highlight the relevant spots (manually or with AI-detected highlights), and copy the assembled prompt straight into your agent. A review interface lets you toggle the video and the highlights before sending, and recording and transcription run locally on the Mac. Cakie is positioned for product and engineering teams — the site states it is "built for teams that build" — who lean on AI agents for coding and want to brief them with visual context rather than prose. For a BestAIFor reader comparing AI developer tools, Cakie is narrow by design: it is a capture-and-brief layer, not an agent itself. It is in beta and free to start with no credit card, and published pricing tiers are not yet shown.
