Overview / Description
Freshbase is an AI product requirements tool for software teams that captures engineering and product conversations, proposes decisions and specifications for team review, and syncs approved context to Linear tickets, GitHub, Notion, and Slack — reducing the gap between what was discussed and what gets built.
When a meeting or Slack conversation includes a product or engineering discussion, Freshbase generates draft decisions, requirements, acceptance criteria, architecture decision records (ADRs), and user journey documentation. These drafts land in a team inbox for human approval before anything is committed. Approved specs are handed off to Linear with full rationale attached, and an MCP server integration makes context available inside Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code for AI-assisted development.
The tool is designed for technical startups with 3 to 30 engineers where discovery chaos — scattered meeting notes and inconsistent requirements — delays development. According to the Freshbase team, software teams waste 40% of dev time on discovery overhead.
Freshbase is free during beta for founding teams with unlimited users and bases. Enterprise pricing is available with SSO, SCIM, audit logs, and a BYO LLM option.
Best for: technical founders, product managers, and tech leads at early-stage startups who want structured specifications generated from existing conversations.
