ISO ACADEMIA

ISO ACADEMIA is an AI-powered academic integrity platform that verifies whether bibliographic sources cited in student work actually exist and are authentic. Rather than checking for text similarity like traditional plagiarism detectors, it focuses on source verification—catching AI-generated fake citations, hallucinated references, and fabricated academic sources before they enter graded submissions.

Universities, colleges, and secondary schools use ISO ACADEMIA to address a growing problem created by large language models that confidently produce plausible-sounding but non-existent references. Educators can run submissions through the system and receive a report flagging which cited sources cannot be verified against real bibliographic databases.

ISO ACADEMIA solves a specific and increasingly important problem, but it's a focused tool rather than a complete academic integrity suite. It doesn't check for text plagiarism or paraphrasing—institutions using it alongside a traditional plagiarism checker will get more complete coverage. The platform is early-stage with a small team, and availability of the service should be confirmed directly with the company before institutional deployment.
