Overview / Description
LeanBox is an open-source AI inbox management agent that sorts and drafts replies to messages across email and chat apps, built for people who juggle several inboxes and want to self-host their own instance. It connects to Gmail, Instagram DMs, and Slack, with Microsoft support listed as coming soon, and triages incoming messages to flag what actually needs a response. For those messages it drafts replies for you to review, but it only drafts and never sends automatically, so you keep final control over anything that goes out. LeanBox also archives junk, suggests newsletters and subscriptions you could unsubscribe from, and gives a daily digest summary of your inboxes. Because it is open source and self-hosted, you run it on your own infrastructure and keep your message data private rather than routing it through a third-party service. It suits privacy-conscious users and developers who want an inbox-zero assistant they control end to end.
