What is MoonTube?
MoonTube is an AI YouTube toolkit that combines niche discovery, competitor analysis, script generation, and channel auditing for YouTube creators who want to grow their channels faster using data-driven insights. Delivered as a Chrome extension side panel, it operates directly within the YouTube interface so creators never need to switch between tools mid-workflow.
Key features include an AI Niche Finder that surfaces high-potential, low-competition sub-niches using real-time search data; a Competitor Reverse Engineering module that deconstructs top-performing channels by analyzing their best titles, metadata patterns, and branding decisions; an AI Script Architect that generates video script outlines and hooks based on trending topics and proven competitor structures; a Content Calendar for mapping upload schedules and long-term growth strategies; and a Channel Auditor that delivers an AI health check on any YouTube channel to identify what is working and where gaps exist.
On the privacy side, MoonTube uses AES-256 encryption to store API keys locally and processes data through the user's own Google API key rather than a central server, which is a meaningful differentiator for creators concerned about data handling.
Getting started requires adding the extension to Chrome, connecting a YouTube Data API key, and opening the sidebar on any YouTube page. A 7-day free Pro trial is included on installation.
Best for: independent YouTube creators, content strategists, and small agencies that manage YouTube channels and need a single browser-based workspace for research, planning, and competitive intelligence without paying for enterprise-grade platforms.
What is MoonTube used for?
