What is OC Compass?
OC Compass generates original characters on demand, giving writers, illustrators, and tabletop RPG players a fast starting point that goes beyond a name and a job title. Each result bundles personality traits, a backstory sketch, color palette suggestions, and visual concept notes — enough to make a character feel lived-in from the start. The tool balances randomness with structure, so outputs are genuinely unexpected without being unusable. You can generate from scratch or browse a library of 100+ curated character ideas if you want a prompt rather than a blank page. No account required to use it.
