Parcourse

Parcourse is an AI learning tool that converts a YouTube video into a structured course you can study rather than passively watch. You paste a video link and it produces modules with sections, questions that test comprehension, a notebook for writing while you watch, a cheatsheet you keep afterwards, and a knowledge graph that maps how your understanding accumulates across courses.

It works best on tutorials, lectures and explainers - the vendor says so directly, and the sample library on the homepage reflects it, with courses like a seven-section breakdown of how the Fed sets interest rates and a six-section art-history course on Caravaggio. Study flow runs from pasting a link, through modules and written notes, to answering questions and seeing where you stand, with a shareable results card at the end.

Two design choices set Parcourse apart from hosted study apps. It is self-hosted, so you run it on your own infrastructure, and it is bring-your-own-key: it runs on whichever model provider you supply rather than locking you to one vendor. That suits self-directed learners and privacy-conscious users who already pay for model access and would rather not route their study data through a third-party service. A browser extension is also offered, and the vendor publishes an explicit "what it will not do" section on the homepage.
