PostOwl

PostOwl is an AI social media scheduling tool that lets developers and founders draft, schedule, and publish posts to X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Threads directly from the terminal. You install it with a single command (npm install -g postowl), log in once through your browser, and your whole posting queue lives a keystroke away. As an AI social media scheduling CLI it accepts plain-English timing like "tomorrow 9am", "friday evening", or "in 2 hours" instead of date pickers or ISO strings. The postowl generate command writes drafts using AI voice models trained on your own posts, then offers to publish or schedule them. It builds multi-post threads from arguments or interactively and attaches local images and videos that upload on the fly. Every command supports a --json flag and reads a POSTOWL_TOKEN environment variable, so you can pipe output, run it in cron, and wire it into CI. You can also point Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex at its MCP server so an AI agent posts on your behalf through your own connected accounts with scoped, revocable access. PostOwl is free and MIT licensed, runs on Node.js 18+, and works on macOS, Linux, and Windows.
