SkillsCat is an open registry and CLI for AI agent skills. It centralizes the discovery of skills scattered across GitHub repositories into one place, so developers can find, install, and publish reusable capabilities without hunting through individual projects. The command-line tool handles installing a skill into your agent and publishing your own for others to use, while the registry acts as the shared catalog. It is built to work with agents and local workflows — Claude Code among them — so teams can extend what their agents do by pulling in ready-made skills rather than rebuilding common functionality. As a community-driven, open-source project, its catalog grows as developers contribute, and the CLI makes sharing and reuse straightforward.
